Distribution of Physa skinneri in British Columbia in British Columbia

Introduction


The Glass Physa "occurs from Alaska southeast to Ontario, Canada, and to Michigan; in the western United States to eastern Washington, Nevada, southern Colorado, and northern Nebraska; and was included in Siberia in the original description but this has not been confirmed (Taylor, 2003)." (British Columbia Conservation Data Centre 2012). It is found in lakes, ponds, marshes and slow-moving streams in thick aquatic vegetation on mud (British Columbia Conservation Data Centre 2012).
